Would you care for a partially exploded, fully rusted out hulk that is my FJ60? :hillbilly: Didn't think so, because I would never give up my cruiser now. As mentioned earlier, cleaner than Mr. Clean, clean. That is a spotless rig. Wish mine looked half as good, but all cruisers look awesome in their own way. From bone stock, run hard, put away soaked to clean show truck. Yours is just the awesomest in cool, clean, precise thought put to FJ60 canvas. Love the dusty shot with the little paw prints on them. Brings a bit of homeliness to your photo there.

I agree they all have a character of their own. I rubber neck any 60 series I see, well any series for that matter. I love the soccer moms in the hundys looking confused as to why I am waving at them.

Excellent Write-up! Everytime I see your pictures of your truck or see it in person, I swear I hear my 60 cry a little. Great job!

Great truck and pics! I especially like how well your truck takes a cleaning. Those underside shots really show the detail of your work.

The paint really has a shine. Is it newer paint or does she respond well to waxing?

And that photo of your daughter dancing in front of the truck in the yard is a winner!

Congrats and thanks for posting up!

Rick

I feel like I just kinda cheated on my rig by merely looking at your pics! I'm really amazed you did all this work in one year. Very inspirational!

I love this FJ

Smkymntn,
You have a great looking ride. So many fantastic upgrades.
This has been a great inspiration for my FJ.

Super Clean ride!
That must be great for a dependable expedition style vehicle, Nice work.
Thanks for posting all the pics!

How much sound deadener did you use? How much difference did it make? Did you line the doors as well?

Thanks. It was an expensive year.:D:doh:
what method did you use to clean the underside of your cruiza? how long did it take?
I basically spent 4 days with some Royal Purple degreaser and a scrub brush. It was not in any way fun. But it does give you a great chance to see what is going on under your vehicle
I should leave my vehicles at your place for a year... JK!

I put down about 80 sq ft- I did everything except the firewall and doors. I have some eaxtra pieces and threw them on the underside of the hood.

Glad I could help:cheers:

I think my favorite mod is the 5 speed. Changes the highway manners exponentially.

I'm glad to hear it. Mine is going in a month or so down the road.

X2 on that... my 3B is quite the noise producer and I wouldn't mind dimming it down a little - but that looks like a lot of work! (is it worth the difference?)

I used about 80sq ft. it wasnt that large a job once you see what you got. The hardest part is getting the Jut off of the floor. That takes the most time. Once you start laying deadener down it is actually slightly fun. The difference is noticeable and worth it.
