Rotella T syn. isnt a true pao synthetic. It is nothing more than hydrocracked dyno. So for all of you who thought it was a bargain compared to a true synthetic such as Delvac 1 you arent getting a deal. It will not hold up to a true pao syn. in extended drain intervals(WHICH IS WHY ROTELLA DOES NOT RECCOMMEND THEM).Dont take my word or the word of an oil representative. Take the time and effort to compare it with real synthetics such as Delvac1 or Amsoil or Redline in used oil analysis. Yes,Rotella "synthetic" is a decent oil but to call it synthetic is deceptive and stems from a court decision that a few big oil companies won(Castrol "syntec"). You will notice that I did not endorse any particular brand of true synthetic oil so please dont accuse me of being an oil rep. Im just a farmer with alot of equipment that decided to look past the hype and tested various oils in my stuff. There are a few oils that can stand up to the drain intervals that they claim is possible.I would certainly use Rotella T "synthetic" if it was a PAO synthetic.
