Roof Rack Storage?

Did some searching and was thinking about this box for my AO rack. I've got 4' between the rails. I'd stick this all the way back so I could access it from the tailgate. Just don't feel like a Thule or Yakima box.

Any thoughts?

Might be a good idea but aerodynamically horrible, maybe if you mount it on the back attach a faring on the front of the box down to the floor of your rack.

Check out Henry's storage box on his old 62. It was made of aluminum and easily accessible from the back via the tailgate. You might want to look for something like that.

They will outlive you and I and are still less expensive than Zarges.
