I want to get my cage powdercoated like the rest of my stuff but it is going to be between $350- $500. I really don't have that to spend, so i was thinking about just painting it. I am going to go black, but was wondering what paint was best recommended. I do have a paint gun, so that is an option.

You need to shop around for a powder coater. It should'nt be that expensive to powder coat a cage. I got mine done in hammer tone for only $200.00.

I used zero rust. It's not that hard of a finish, but is easy to touch up and does a good job of keeping away the rust. It has a satin finish.

no dude, totally easy, I wouldn't pay to have it linexed, just get one of those big plastic tarps from home depot that people use for painting (throw away clear type) and get some herculiner, clean the rollbar well and sand it well to give it good bite, wipe with solvent and brush it on, no prob, also I used a topcoat that herculiner has for UV protectant. I did mine like 5 years ago and still looks brand new.
