ok whats the deal with these? i herd water sloshing aroung for forever (thought i was just hearing the gas tank) but the rocker pannels take on water. does every lc do this? is it supposed to? anyones rusted out? thanks

Remove the front and rear plug so the water can drain.
I tried cleaning the drain plugs but they keep plugging up.
I have a little rust.

but where does this water get into the pannels? theres also plugs in the rear quarter pannels what about them?> thanks

Front sunroof pan drains, they empty into the rocker. They are supposed to so do not worry about that part. The problem is the rocker drain slits, in your case, are plugged up. You will need to clean them out. There are a few in depth threads regarding this procedure. Used the search function and look for "rocker drains" in the 80's section.

We need E to rig up a pvc, pressure-gauged assembly for flushing out our sunroof pan drains!!! :D Then we need a group-pay to analyze the sludge coming out of the rocker drains!!! :flipoff2: Sorry, I'm sun stroked and road weary - just came back from three days of fly-fishin the Taylor River! Ohh, almost forgot the thread relevant part, had my rockers squattin still in mud several times and had lots of layers of mud thrown up on the rockers. After a heavy washing when I got home, I started the undercarriage, as soon as the dry mud came off the rocker drain slits, the water from the roof from the washing poured through! Guess there good unless I mud em up!!! Damn I hate mud!!
