This rig was built by a local cruiser legend and his son here in Utah. No expense was spared and it is perfect for rock crawling and adventures. I'm going to upgrade to a 100 or 200 series for a bit more refinement as I plan on driving more than 20k miles for an around the world adventure.

Price: $16,000

Pleas post up a trip thread!

Will do. We've got a National Geographic photographer coming with us from Kiev to Vladivostok (we're dropping down through the stans and Mongolia) so it should be fun and we should get some good pics.

We've also just bought a 100 series that we're going to be building over the next month. I'll post pics of that as well.

I'm thinking a 'cash-infusion' would go a long way to making that 100 series a 'world-beater'... Any chance you might reconsider?

We're already looking to put 7k into the 100 but you're offer is tempting...

As you know these rigs are hard to find esp built like this one is and in this condition. I had a guy offer me more than my asking price here but I had to say no as a built 100 I was eying sold in two hours. I've got my eye on a LX 470 but I'd have to build it ASAP.

Make me an offer ;)

My wife drives an LX470...she wouldn't be too happy if I traded her baby for a trail rig!

PM sent...

UPDATE: The rig has been solid over the past 10,000 kilometers. We're heading out of Russia today/tomorow and into Mongolia where I hope to get some great action shots. There are a ton of LC of all makes and models here in Siberia. The Russians know competent vehicles. You can follow our misadventures at www.drive4sight.org.

Also, I will be putting the 80 back up for sale when I return. It's a solid rig but I'm going to build a 06 LC for my next adventure.
