1. Josh
2. Scott (plus 2 trucks from Fayetteville)
3. Aaron
4. Jay

I am in, although it may just be for Sat night and Sunday. Co-pilot has a baseball tournament that may last till Sat afternoon.

I'm monitoring water levels. This is probably the closest one to where we will be: USGS Current Conditions for USGS 07257006 Big Piney Creek at Highway 164 near Dover, AR

For reference, this is what it was when I preran the area, and every crossing was easy and shallow.

American Whitewater - AR State Rivers

Link to American Whitewater. I would guess all recreational creeks/rivers are represented on this page. You can follow the links on each river to the USGS page for more detailed info, which is what Josh has posted above. I thought I would pass it on if any of y'all want it for future reference.

So from NWA area we have Scott,Professor,Bill and Mark

The 4 of us will be in 2 80's both locked no winch's no lift no snorkel....

Hopefully the crossings were real easy when you pre-ran. Looks like they'll easily be 2' deeper this weekend. The Hwy 164 gage may not get below 4.0' Saturday.

Fingers crossed it will fall out by Saturday. From looking at the historical graphs, it drops out pretty quickly. Hopefully the rain has stopped.

They were. We can always take alternate routes.

Yeah, I'm hoping the drain rate helps us out.

I forgot about this and already have something else planned. Plus I keep not getting any Email alerts from the forum so I suck.

We are thinking if no one is coming Friday we may camp at Haw creek falls camp ground Friday and drive over from there... Any idea how far that camp ground is from scheduled Saturday camp ground?

I'm hoping to take a 1/2 day off so I can take my time loading up and getting to camp 1.

The river is at just over 4 feet. Hopefully it will keep on going down at the same pace.

@YotaJosh - 146.460 for simplex?

For future reference, when the gauge is at 3.1 feet, the creek crossing is deeper than the average comfort zone. i.e. wet floorboards. I had to leave the adventure early. We will be posting up some pics soon.

What an awesome trip! I'll have a full writeup and and pictures coming shortly. Like Jay said, crossing the Big Piney on FS1802 is tough when the level is 3 FT or above.
