River Shiver 2007
Do you have annoying tan lines? Trouble pronouncing the word 'Toque'? Can't illuminate a room when you're naked? Tired of that nagging feeling of warmth and comfort? We've got the cure for you!

The Rocky Mountain Land Cruisers are hosting their third River Shiver. Feb. 16-19, 2007. This is one not to be missed. Awesome food, hot prizes, amazing scenery, and an inviting beach with the coolest white sand you'll ever get in your thong.

There's snow stopping the coolest TLCA event!
When?
February 16-19, 2007;
http://www.rmlca.ab.ca/rivershiver/index.html

Where?
Just outside of Calgary Alberta (Canada eh?)

Some pictures of last year;

Yes non-LC's are allowed to come. In fact, the truck that spanked most of the other trucks and trails was a Toyota p/u running chains.

Early bird price is $150 Cdn which gets you 9 meals, 3 nights accomodation, and 2 days of winter wheeling.

The only TLCA sanctioned event North of the border!

Sing up now, space is limited.

So, you guys stay INDOORS every night???

I thought you'd just snuggle up in a snow bank with your legendary pet beaver, and tough it out!

I've GOT to do this some time soon!

Yup, heated bunk houses every night. Bunk beds, about 1o to a room. Usually we wind up turning down the heat because it's too hot.

The brave (aka crazy) people might camp outside one night. Last year one guy just lay down on a tarp, no sleeping bag or tent!

I tell ya, it's pretty swank.

Craig.

Craig,

My son and I are considering this event. We've been thinking about it for a few years, and are keen to do it.

Questions...
Wheeling days are 17 and 18? (Sat and Sun)
Accomidations are for 16, 17, 18 nights?
Departure on Monday the 19th?
Still room for two?
Fuel cache - how much extra fuel is recommended?
We'd bring our 60. No lockers, no winch, but we have some hefty chains?

Thanks,

If it's a Diesel, you'd be fine topping it up on the way out there. If it's a gasser, then a couple of gerry cans. We actually sell fuel at the event though (both kinds).

It'll be fine. Seriously.

Thanks,
Craig.

Hi Craig.

Is it true that we can still register (drop dead date of Feb. 1?)??

Has the food committee been testing out new "to die for" recipes?

How is the raffle shaping up???

Thanks,
CD

True. February 1st is your last chance to register.

As usual, the wheeling will only be topped by the food.

Raffle, killer as always.

Craig.

First of all, does anyone has the email addresses of:
-Mike Thomas
-Kirk Dodds (or co-pilot Christine Sinnemann)
-Pascal

Could they please get in touch with me, they registered but I don't have an email address.

So far we have 22 people and 12-15 trucks (depending on how many of the committee will wheel their rigs).

February 1st is the last day I can have a cheque in my hand to get you in on time. We need to buy groceries to cater nine meals.

3 nights accommodation, 9 meals, a raffle, and two days of wheeling in spectacular scenery all for $150 Cdn.

Hope to see you there,
Craig.

Bump.

I woulda been there if my truck was done, and my hockey team wasn't going to a tournament. But will be there next year for sure.
Just thought I would give some support with three days to go. Was there the first year and had a good time, definately didn't feel as cold as it was, since sleeping in warmth is real nice. The wheeling is a really fun!
Cheers to an excellent event,
Deny
