NO, I'm not talking about the rocks you put in your yard either.

As some of you know we're thinkin' of going to River Rock originally scheduled for August...no lip about the heat, we have our reasons. :hhmm:

It's located just outside Milledgeville, Ga. which is actually closer for almost everyone than the Gulches is.

We've been in touch with Kim in the last week or so trying to set a schedule for this but River Rock aint like most other parks.

EDIT: Let me clarify this: They "typically" don't open the gates for less than 500 clams, that's for a day/weekend or whatever. That's 10 trucks @ $50 per. So, to make this somewhat affordable it requires a fair # of rigs committed to going and of course splitting $500 cost 10 ways, that's still pretty damn steep for a day run but if we get enough people together we'll do it. I believe that's pretty much a minimum fixed "per truck" cost so I don't believe we can split the $500 fee 20 ways. If I'm wrong, please advise otherwise.

So, I'll get right to the point, who's in?

1) me :flipoff2:
2) ArmyTaco--come on man this is in your back yard
3) Pillguy
4) AuburnFJ
5) 2000
6) Schmitty
7) Downhill Dave
8) BGarcia

HAHA yeah I should be able to. When is it?

atta boy! let's try to bend the axle again!

Schedule is still pending a little, we'd originally set aside Aug 21 but that MIGHT change. kinda depends upon how many heads we can pull together. why don't you get that other southern slob with the red POS and bald swampers and meet us out there--no excuses :flipoff2:

I am interested in going, hopefully I will be done with my bumper build by then including the tire carrier. :flipoff2:

I'm in, I've spent about 6 weekends at that place (avatar pic is at RR), truly a great wheeling area. I know the place like the back of my hand. I'm down for a trip, it's about 1/2 mile from my place in milledgeville (during the school year). If anybody is unclear on how to get down there, I'd be happy to lead the convoy. I have a 2 inch lift, 34" AT's and no sliders (but they will be here this Wednesday) and wheeled there many times with very little damage, if you concerned about clearance, body damage, etc, pick your line and you will have a total blast. There are bypasses for just about everything, never had a dull moment at RR. Great place, and camping there is even better!

Nick

I have plenty of pictures, just ask if you curious about the place.

And a few of my favorite pictures :)

All in all, since it is a bit closer, I am sure we all will save on gas. What about asking the SFWD group in anyone in their group wants to go? THey mentioned they wanted to do some joint rides this year.
