One thing everyone in this situation should consider is leveraging one of the legal firms that specializes in auto insurance claims. They will bring in their own adjuster and will get a much better valuation. Many charge a flat fee for the end to end service.
That's the route I was going when I started asking the manager for all the documentation and what the statue of limitationswas. Too be quite honest, it has been hard to find a legal firm in my area that would even talk to me about the personal property damage side of the accident. Most of them want to focus on nothing but the personal injury side of the accident

There are firms that specialize in these property claims and nothing else. I have not used them (never had a claim) but co-workers have and they worked.

You are absolutely correct. The problem with my claim was, the accident happened in another state then where I reside, and I guess that was going to make things difficult as far as how to proceed with the property damage side of things. Bottom line, that ordeal is over and I didn't have to pay on it.

Your statute of limitations is 3 yrs, for any injury claims if you filed any. It’s separate from vehicle stuff unless you signed it all off. Glad you are ok and not too traumatized by the whole order. We had an accident a year ago and got back into a 200 to replace ours. Our LX saved our lives without a doubt. Lot to be thankful for when something happen so quickly .

I'm glad to hear that your 200 did it's due diligence as well and kept your family safe. I'm also glad to know I'm not the only one who didn't hesitate to instantly hop back into a Cruiser as well.

Thanks for the heads-up on the statute of limitations info for the injury side. I know when I asked about the statue of limitations over the vehicle, State Darm told me two years. Maybe it was me laughing and telling them "Oh yeah, I'm definitely not in a hurry to settle if that's the case." that made them change their tune lol.

I can't say alot about the injury claim side, but I will say, I made sure before I agreed to the payout on the loss of the vehicle, that I was only wrapping up the property damage side of this entire situation.
