the wipers orientation is LHD but the steering wheel is on the wrong hand drive
The troopie seems like a genuine RHD though.

It's an Aussie FJ45LV, there's been a handful imported this year under the 25+ Importation clause. This one looks clean, but there was another imported earlier this year that was even cleaner, dunno where it ended up.

I'm confused about the '69 claim, though, 1968 should have been the first year of the FJ55 in Australia.

It could be like some of the early FJ's here in the states that were mistitled when sold. My first Cruiser was built it Febuary 1970 but didnt sell until late 1971 and the state of Ohio titled it as a '71!

is it just my eyes or don't the tail lights look resesed into the body? and they can't be stock 45LV lights........much to big arn't they?

I thought all FJ55 lights were almost square?
If ya' get it, and go back original, some of the hardcore guys will want the propane setup........PM Mace.

Nope, late 55 lights look like those.

Spector only shows pix of 68-77 so I reckon they are the 78-79 era I have never seen them........just when ya think ya know it all...:D

That's a 1967 FJ45V. Coming into the states they can call it whatever they want. I just saw a guy at a gas station driving a '75 Troopie from Australia registered as a '63.

These are what the 78-79 55 lights look like. the LV's don't look like them to me. who knows what they are. has anyone ever swapped the steering back to the correct :grinpimp: side, i.e. from left to right.

LV experts needed.

is this the factory mud flap bracket? also, i don't remember seeing a seam on my rear quarters like this. i think they have done a patch job on the rear. pretty rare for a lv not to rust there. i have some old rear quarters off a salvaged lv that look just like this. no offense to the seller, but without a personal inspection, the pics that are on ebay do not prove to me that there is "no" rust. it does appear to have not a lot of rust, i.e. no a flintstone mobile. ;)
mup flap bracket copy.webp
