Hey everyone,
Since there seems to be a little bit of interest in my dad’s land cruiser, I thought I might link a review I wrote about the car on kinja:

Let’s just say I’m not the greatest writer ever..
However, I also wrote an article explaining the Land cruiser trims in Qatar, here is the link: Land cruiser trims, explained.

Tell me about the stickers on the back window. Is the pintle hitch a factory part?

Hey,
The stickers are representations of our country’s ruler, Sheikh Tamim. We’ve had the stickers for over a year now.
The hitch is from the factory, yes.

These look similar too?
So it might just be how the land cruisers here come.

We only get one trim level here in America. The 5.7 is the only engine for us as well. I am like a lot of guys and want stuff we can not get.

Can you show us the center console and the buttons for crawl control? The vx-s seems to use every blank spot whereas the US version has a lot of blank spots.

I’m wondering if there is a way to get the parts number and some ingenious people here in the US can figure out the wiring so we can use those buttons as well.

Sure thing, here’s an old picture:

For some reason, we don’t get heated seats nor a heated steering wheel.

A chilled seat and steering wheel would be better for the locale.

Interesting that it has selectable driving modes! I haven't seen those three buttons on the lower left in a US cruiser.

Those are only available on the highest trim 5.7s here.
The only difference I can notice from riding (not driving) is that comfort is nice and soft, but sport S/S+ is just bouncy yet still really soft..

I was able to find the part number.
250.00. I might try to experiment but someone with more expertise might take a crack at it

As @TeCKis300 pointed out. Most of those extra controls are for AHC (from the LX570 in the USA). It would take quite a few more parts than just the controller to make use of any of those buttons. Unless you were thinking of repurposing the buttons for other functions.

I was guessing that the buttons had more to do with drive modes like transmission or accelerator pedal response (like a pedal commander), but it sounds like the my are suspension settings. Bummer.

Does the VXs have adjustable shocks? The 100 used to have that option in the US.
Only the 2016-2020 VXS (there isn’t a 2021 VXS) and 2020+ VXR get the AHC.

It’s been a few years since I drove it, but I’m pretty sure it changes steering and throttle response, as well as transmission shift points.

Good point and from the markings, the later gen AHC does seem to affect more than just the damper settings. Selector looks different but at least for the 2016+ models of the LX, the markings are same.

On the 2015 LX and earlier, the markings suggest that it only affects the damper.
