Reveiw Mirrors for Windshield

I called landcruiser specialties looking for the correct review mirror for my 65 fj40, although they didn't have one for mine which i am desperately looking for, they did say they had one that works for those before mine. Thought I would pass this along to those lurking out there. This appears to be one of those items toyota no longer makes. If anyone has an extra one for a 65 please let me know as I am looking for one.

A friend of mine is engineer at toyota said he would call some guys in Japan and see if they can trace one down for me. I am not going to get my hopes up though.

Is It a two screw or three screws mounting it to the windshield frame ?

There are three factory holes. So far I am striking out in finding one.

Three hole like my 66, I would post up on wanted forum It took me just over a year to find one $ 15.00 shipped no mirror glass and glad to get It . the first one I bought was broken In shipping

the earlier 2 hole seam to be more plentiful

Not sure why but the 65/66 is really hard to find. The earlier ones are easy compared to this one. The bracket that you posted that has two holes was that for a 67? My 68 has the style that snaps on. It was a safety thing just like the padded dash that started with the 68 model year.

I guess when I finally get around to restoring my 65 FJ45 I will sell the windshield with the mirror. Somebody with probably buy the windshield just to get the mirror

Thanks for the picture, I wasn't a 100% confident in what I was looking for. This helps. I still have a shot in the dark with the engineer from toyota. He said he sent out the request to several people in Japan to see if they could scrounge one up for me.
