While you were driving or sitting in the driveway? I’m hoping it works while your cruising at highway speeds without having having to talk directly into it.
I will update you on the freeway. I’m not ready to jump on the freeway yet. But driving around the block worked fine. I will update when i get a chance. I’m sure the wind noise will affect it just like it does any mic. We will see how bad.

Sorry for the delay in testing out the mic. Came down with the bug that is going around. Still not 100%. I did test out the mic location driving 45mph my wife said she could here me good. She also said there was some wind noise but not enough that she couldn’t here me clearly. So so far so good.

@btbuild mind if I ask how you went about making those brackets? I just started my installation and am feeling a bit over my head considering I've got no metal working skills whatsoever!

Nicely done once again. I'd certainly be a buyer of your slick brackets!

I promise as soon as I have to pull stereo out I will take down all measurements and have some brackets made. I just don’t know when that will be. I am sorry now that I didn’t do it in the first place. I just didn’t know it would work out so well.

Thanks for the compliment

Nope, definately no need to apologize! Sounds good.

I took down some measurements and will likely try to make something. Im just not sure how to bend the metal and retain the exact width of the bracket.

Thanks again!

All I did was put metal in vise and used a hammer to bend.

I decided to buy the USB port extension from retro sound and installed it today. I didn’t want to drill any holes so I decided to see if it would fit in the cigarette lighter hole. The cigarette lighter really serves no purpose for me. Low and behold it fit perfectly with no modifications!!!!

How I'd like to help! I got mine installed but don't have the measurements anymore. How dumb of me to not update the thread when i made them.

That said, if i figured it out and made the brackets it can't be that bad!
