1976 FJ40

Price: $25k

I figure the pictures will do most of the talking but here is some basic info:

-Majority of the resto was done some time ago, around '00-'01 and unfortunately driven very few miles from then til now (example: only logged 1400 miles between '08 to present time).
Rebuilt engine, new clutch and other rebuilt drivetrain componentry were all performed as well. Zero engine oil leaks and runs/drives as it should.
-The obvious non stock items installed are the wheels, tint, stereo, rancho suspension, and nifty little interior pull handles. .
-Numerous items have been powdercoated, too many to list, just see pics.
-I'd say less than .5% rust. All being super light surface stuff, like on the grille as seen in the pics. I consider this vehicle to be "rust free".
-Latest service performed by me included flushed brake and clutch fluid along with resealing the rear output shaft at the transfer case. It used to leak when parked on an incline but all is well.
-Passed CA emissions testing last year with flying colors (both visual and actual emissions). CA buyers can own this truck with confidence, since I bet most lose sleep over this state's smog testing.
-Mileage is believed to be original at 70,xxx.
-Warn winch remote included.
-FJ40 specific car cover included. Fits like a glove.
-Original wheels/hubcaps included.
-Box of misc spare door parts, front/rear bump stop brackets with new bumpstops included.
-Folder containing numerous receipts for engine rebuild/machining, paint/body, upholstery etc etc
-Clean CA title in hand.

I like that you posted the sale price..gives us a good point of reference. Congrats

That's exactly why I did that! I hated coming across for sale ads and not seeing what they actually sold for. It sold on craigslist (of all placces) in less than 24 hours of posting. Go figure.

Beautiful truck. Thanks for posting the price too. I may have a similar one for sale soon and it helps me out. I really think the nice clean ones are in the $20k to $30k range.

Wow, I would say that truck was "well-bought".

If anything happen with the deal... Repost...I will give the sane offer no hesitation!! Have cash... Would love for this to have been my "first" cruiser..!! Oh well... Beautiful!

The gentleman that bought it didnt seem to know much about FJ40's. Kind of a shame but he still loved the truck (heck, who wouldn't?!). I reallllly wanted it to go to someone on this forum but I was lowballed with sub 20k offers by the ones who showed interest. I think the truck was worth north of 25k but I priced it to be a fairly quick sale. I still have the original wheels with hubcaps, bumpstops, some misc door parts, and the jack rod brackets if anyone is in need..lol. The new owner seemed very uniterested in the spare parts.

I would be interested in these wheels / hubcaps and parts. Please PM me.
