Hey,

I'm trying to figure out the part number for this reservoir cap on the coolant reservoir. I've googled it and gotten a few results and the ones on Lexus website say they don't fit. Attached a photo. It's for a 2013 LX570

This seems like it might be it, but is the hose as long as the original?

16405-50080

The “50080” part number in that eBay listing is incomplete and suggests they don’t know what they are doing with Toyota/Lexus parts.

Ha. That's what was throwing me. That and when I search that part number on Lexus, both the 16405-50080 and just 50080 it says it isn't compatible with the LX 570.
I see you have a 2013 Land Cruiser, do you think they are the same part? I only ask because my Toyota dealership is like 20 minutes away where as my Lexus dealership is like 45 minutes away. I might call them.

Yes, they are the same part. Fits 2008-2021 LC and LX.

I forgot to specify I got that number in the diagrams for your 2013 LX. It isn’t uncommon for the online resources to incorrectly say something isn’t compatible.. for confidence you can call a parts counter, and if we are talking an expensive part that is probably advised.

Alright thank you that's good to know. I'm new to this stuff. Rarely work on my cars, just my bike which was italian so you just kind of guessed on everything and hoped for the best ha!

Trust me, I get it.

For next time, Partsouq is a great place to look things up. Tons of diagrams.

Wow that photo is way more clear. Gonna save that website. I was looking at one on Lexus parts or whatever but I couldnt for the life figure out what was what. Thanks!

As with any search, much is in choosing the correct keyword. For example, what we may call a 'reservoir', Toyota may call a 'tank'. What I've found best is to use a broad term and then use the diagrams to visually drill down. For the diagram above I started with 'radiator' as I knew that would be a high hit rate.
