Replacing the FJC side mirror lights

Ok, so I had to replace my mirror lights as they finally went out after 3 years. I did some reading of different options people went with and decided on the PIAA Extreme White option. I have to say that I am rather impressed with the difference in brightness. I just installed them yesterday, so I will report back in a couple months of road testing and see if I still like them.

Just curious....how much were the bulbs?

Got them at 4 wheel parts for 14.95 for the pair. They do have a bluish hue to them but that's ok because my FJ is VooDoo Blue!

I thought those bulbs required servicing at the Dealer as there seems to be no real access to the bulbs. IIRC, the owner's manual says bring to the dealer whereas the other bulbs can be changed at home. Were you able to remove the cover or did you get access behind the mirror?

Its not that big of a deal, just have to be careful to not break the tabs on the back off...
