I just shipped out our first set of lower links for the 100 series. Toyota links are known for their thin walled tubes and how easy they bend and kink when they contact rocks. Pricing as follows:

Fixed length- $ 285.00 per pair plus shipping 1.5" X .250" wall DOM tube
Adjustable- $ 360.00 per pair plus shipping 1.75" X .250 wall DOM tube

Upeer links- No price available at this time, I require measurements in order to be able to build and price.

We've been building replacement links for the FJC for several years now with great results. The links are built using 1.5" X .250" wall DOM tube. THey also use Johnny Joints on one and end and urethane joints on the other. The Johnny Joint provides for 30 degrees of twist.

THe other benefit of these joints is that they allow the links to move up and down with ease as opposed to the restrickted movement the OEM units provide. No more twisting rubber to move the rear axle. You can read more about it here.

The photos shown are FJC links. The 100 series are the same, just about an inch longer and without emergency brake line mounting holes.

Interesting. You planning to make matching adjustable uppers for the 100 too? I'b be interested in a set of 4.

Im sure Layton will love em, they look nice. What's the price?

Subscribed. Both of my lowers are bent beyond recognition. I've looked at several of the aftermarket options but have not yet pulled the trigger on any of them. Are you planning on providing the mounting hardware with these? Are they be available in black? I'd love to see these installed on a 100 with pics.

Ah yes. Yes they are available in Black.

I am planning on making uppers, I need dimensions to do it. I sent you a PM

I hope he does, they shipped today.

I am not including hardware with the lowers as the stock hardware will work and it would raise the cost. 9/16" grade 8 bolts will fit the links better, , the stock bolts are a shade smaller in diameter. THe mounts on the frame and axle may require a little reaming to get the 9/16" bolts to work. I was able to get 9/16" bolts on my FJC without reaming, very tight fit on the mounts.

I use Rustoleum paint as it is a tough paint and you can get touchup paint almost anywhere. I'll paint them any color you like.

I too would probably be interested in a full set / Pricing?

Thanks for the info. Chances are good that most of our trucks have slightly enlarged mounting holes from use/abuse. The stock 100 series bolts are 14mm. 9/16 is ~14.3mm so a little bit of enlargement / reaming would probably be needed, but would probably get you back to perfectly round for install of the new LCA.

Were these designed for a specific amount of lift, say 2.5"?

Pretty exciting new product.

Are you a vendor? vendor star?

That
That would seal the deal for several.

I need to get measurements for the upper links from an owner before I can come to a price point.

The lower links are built at the stock length. The drawing below is based on the geometry of the FJ Cruiser and is used just to illustrate the point.

In the drawing shown you see that with a 3" lift the rear axle only moves forward 9/32". If the 100's LCA is at the same 2 degrees at tock height in neutral position it will be a shade less than 9/32" dut to the fact that the lower link is 15/16" llonger on the 100 than the FJC.

Keep in mind that when the tire stuffs up into the wheel well it will be in the same position as it would using stock links. The only difference is that with a 2.5" lift the axle will be slightly forward of stock position. Certainly not enough to make a huge difference. If required adjustable lower links can also be made.

These look nice. My uppers look a bit worn and may need replacement soon. I was wondering if adjustability on the arms is really needed if you are only lifted 1.5-2.5"?

Also, how come only one end has Johnny joints? Would there be any benefit to having them at both ends?

Do I feel a group buy coming on? I want a set. About the same price as oem but much more stout. Great looking product

Adjustable links on the lowers are not really required for a small lift. See the drawing a few posts up. Some people desire them though to make minor changes. I build most upper links adjustable to allow customers to adjust pinion angle.

The reason only one Johnny Joint is used is because they provide a total of 30 degrees deflection and that is far more than your rig will be able to achieve. Adding two Johnny Joints to the pair will also drive the cost up about $80.00 for no real gain in performance. The urethane bushings also do well do dampen road vibration transmitted by the axle.

I would like to make upper links for the 100 as well. I need the measurements in order to fabricate them.

I need:

Length- bolt center to bolt center

Width- outside measurements of the joints (where the bolt goes through) example, your lower links have a 2 3/8" width

Bolt Size- diameter of bolts

I would also like to know if there are any differences in the links between years.

Any help would be appreciated

Anyone with a 100 series in the SC Upstate that I can meet up with and take measurements?

I hope this works out for your guys! Man, if this had only come up in August. I pulled my old upper links and tossed them. I would have sent you one.....

I plan on doing the measurements next week. If anyone want to take the leap and do it this weekend be my guest.

Stan - are you considering a group buy or is the $285/360 pricing final? Might help you launch several sets and kick off the holiday season with success.

The policy for the company from the start has been to keep our prices as low as possible and still keep the doors open. We do not set our prices high enough to even build in discounts for dealers. THis is the reason we do not run sales or group buys. The only item we have ever run a sale on is Viper winches and that is a factory sale.

I do not plan on running any group buys.
