if you want security, it is hard to beat a Tuffy.
I don't know what you keep in the car, but an iPod, pda, cellphone.... whatever.... is going to cost as much as the difference between the Tuffy and the CCOT console.
This isn't meant to bash the CCOT console, it might be plenty good and strong, I've never seen one. But I do know a guy with a Tuffy in his 40. He lost the keys and had to break in. Using power tools, in his garage, it took him 15 minutes to break into his Tuffy. Granted- he was trying to keep from destroying it entirely- but they really aren't easy to break into.
And the finish on them is good too.
