Hi folks. Want to replace the carpet in my 2000 LC, but can't find it available anywhere on the web. Spoke to the local Toyota dealer and almost fell over when they told me it would be about $875 for the OEM replacement. I want nice, quality, carpet but that kind of coin seems like daylight robbery. Any suggestions would be sincerely appreciated.:meh:

Buy some nice floor mats, and a Bissel carpet cleaner with the upholstery attachment.

Line-X....... :D

If my carpet were trashed, I'd Line-X it and then put some nice rubber mats in there which will hold mud and dirt /water etc.......

I'm going to be looking at rubber mats myself.

Thanks for the Rino lining and Line-X suggestions. While that would certainly be cool, I want the factory finished look.

I'll certainly go with one of those finishes on my 40 project when I get it off the ground. Until then, still looking for replacement carpet for a 2000 LC.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can point me in the right direction here.:meh:

I saw factory replacement carpet for 100 Series Cruisers on ebay yesterday I believe... I usually search landcruiser, land cruiser and add a 100 in the search field... maybe landcruiser and carpet would pull it up but I definitely saw complete flooring kit on ebay for 100 Series Cruisers.......

I have Husky Liners and have been very happy with them..... Even after last rainy, muddy wheelin trip my liners protected all carpets well... My factory floor mats are in trash bags in the attic....

Good Luck!!!

Thanks Hoser! This may be just what I'm looking for. I've fired off an email to them to see if it will fit a 2000 USA model (they specify 98-97) and if it will match my existing OEM grey color. I will update this thread once I hear back from them.

I'm pretty certain they meant to say 98-07. Shipping looks like US$120 though. You should see if others are also interested in your area so you can save on shipping. Also check with Cruiserdan or Sincity100 as they can get you a healthy discount on OEM parts.

Was the $875 quote you received earlier for front and rear or just front?

I also received a response from the same company about molded vinyl coverings which is the same design as their molded carpet--so it replaces the carpet. It is what comes standard on the poverty pack 105 series. Pretty nice to just brush or wipe out dirt/sand rather than having to wash or vacuum the carpet. And compared to bedlining the interior, you can still retain the sound deadening material.

They quoted me:
Front & 2nd Row $380.00 Rear Cargo $280.00
Freight $140.00 USA

Auto Downunder
B 0 359643223

I would really prefer the OEM vinyl stuff though as it "should" have the exact cut-outs. So I will do a little more digging for part #'s and see whether we can get it locally.

honestly any good vehicle apholstery shop should be able to do it for less and it'd be higher quality carpet with as much sound deadening as you are willing to pay for... Molded carpet, while great in theory is really crappy carpet, IF i were to replace the carpet I'd do a custom shop over finding the OEM stuff in a heartbeat... Plus then you can choose the carpet material, everything from suede to astro turf...

check some custom body shops or radio install places; there is a place here in jersey that did a lx with black carpet which looked pretty cool. hey did you also try some salvage yards? they may have some available but thats a long shot

OEM is expensive but usually is the best fitting and highest quality. If you can find an upholstery shop than can install quality carpet for cheaper than OEM, do it. Otherwise, shop wisely!

I stepped up and paid $780 my employee cost for the front, which goes 3/4 of the way.

There is NO way to make this or after market as it is just to complicated.

If any one is close to me I would be happy to buy one and hand it to you or ship.

Shane

Are there more than three different OEM carpet colors? There seems to be at least three for the LC. Gray, beige and brown. And I think Loud pointed out the LX carpet is different than the LC carpet. I know it's list price is slightly more but not sure what the difference is... Perhaps trivial.
