It seems like my window felt in my 09 LC is disintegrating. Any ideas for a replacement?

Actually I just ordered a set off Ebay for under $50 that look VERY promising. I may install them over this weekend and will provide photos and comment. Decided to take a gamble vs the couple hundred bucks the Toyota version were asking

I replaced all the outer window mouldings. Is that what you're talking about?

Mine have that from an old tint job that started to go bad, and I think it was the adhesive from the tint. I cleaned the window and the felt with glass cleaner, rolled up and down, and repeated. It got better, but still occasionally I have to clean the smudge off the glass in that spot. I've considered lightly trimming back the felt in that area with a sharp razor blade which would probably take care of it.

The outside is easily replaced (I swapped mine all out this summer). I think the inside is attached to the door card.

Can you clean the interior felt?

Ooooooo! I had tint removed from this weirdos, and it’s been doing this ever since. I keep cleaning up the smudges, so I figured it was something else. Maybe it’s just old glue that’s deep with the bowels of the door.

Based on the pic you posted, I think it's glue right there on the felt. I'd clean that up. I was hesitant to go with a more aggressive solvent like goof off, but maybe that would work.
