Has anyone replaced the 12V plugs in the front and rear on their 100? Neither of mine work. The one inside the center console works but the one beside the ash tray and the one in the cargo area don't. The dealer diagnosed the plugs has having the fusible link burned out. I have checked the fuse in it and tested it and it is not blown but I don't know where to find the fusible link. Anyone know where to locate them?

I am not sure if the fusible link is in the plug or somewhere inline with the power to the plug. Either way, the dealer said both of these need replacing. I know some owners have run heavier gauge wire from the battery to install new 12V plugs that can handle more watts but I am just wanting to at least get the existing ones working again. I have done this on my truck camper (TC) so I can do this kind of wiring.

For the front one by the ash tray, I would like to use it to charge my phone and possibly plug in a 12V air compressor for airing up after a trail ride. Same goes for the rear. My compressor is 150W max and the plugs are only rated for 120W so I might just get a lower watt air compressor. The 150W is really for my F350 DRW so I can check pressures while camping in remote locations with my TC. I needed a heavy duty one for the 215/85R16E tires (up to 80 psi) on my truck but I don't need that big of a one for the LC.

Anyone have a source for the OEM 12V plugs other than the dealer? I can easily find aftermarket 12V plugs but was wondering if there might be a connector that I would need to simply repair the ones that aren't working. I like to keep things original, if I can.

I had the same problem and fixed it. The fusible link they are referring to is a piece of (for the lack of a better term) "wire" in the back of the plug socket itself. it's pretty short maybe a 1/4 inch. If you take the socket apart you will find it. I simply took it apart and replaced original link with a copper wire. And yes the front fix will make your back socket work as well. Sorry no pictures as the repair was done about 6 years ago.

Here is a video I found that should help:

Thanks for clearing that up. Did you have to remove the front panel to get the socket out? I'll need to read up on how to do that without breaking anything before I attempt it.

I worked on this a little last night. Got everything apart and dropped the center screw that holds the socket together down somewhere underneath the center console. Looks like I'll be ordering another one from the dealer. Might get a spare in case the rear one does not work either. My fat fingers and bad vision made this quite tricky. Does anyone know how to get the socket outer portion out of the console? I can't really tell if it comes out through the front or back of the console.
