Removing the side section above the door opening attached to the top.

I have approximately 6 screws that I could not get out. Since it is so close to the fiberglass, does anyone have/see an issue with using heat to help loosen up the screws for removal?

I would not apply heat that close to the roof that is to close to were the roof is rivoted to the gutter,if you are just trying remove the roof unbolt the cross member from the windshield and pull it as a unit.

Wire brush the exposed threads inside the raingutter, then spray on some penetrating oil. Work the screws slowly back and forth. Do not use heat.
