Well its 4 am here and I've spent some time denting up my oil pan with the bottle jack between the frame and pan idea, even with the wood block to spread the load :censor: . Im giving up before I mess up the pan. And stoping to ask for ideas, I've seen heat mentioned many times, Anyone willing to give other sugestions or thoughts on using heat.
I'm doing prep before the box from Dan shows up with the oil pan gasket.
Thanks folks
Steven
I did search and read what I printed before I started , thats were I got the bottle jack idea. Maybe I missed something.

Use a block of wood and then jack off the front crank pulley after loosening the motor mounts. No need to jack on the pan(then put blocks under the trans pan also). Or rent a cherry picker to just lift the front of the engine with the lift eye in the front. After this heat the pan with a propane torch till the sucker is smoking (not on fire smoking). then slide a gasket scraper ( I like thick paint scrapers). This will then start to brake the seal between the pan and the gasket. Do not be afraid to use the heat, it makes it a whole lot easier. Call the shop I you need to, 303-278-8287 later robbie
