My 2001 is stock. So I don’t have much room to crawl under and remove the rear control arms. So my question is, how should I support the vehicle while pulling and pressing new bushings into the control arms? Support by placing Jack stands under the axel tubes or support from the rear frame of the vehicle. I want to make sure I am not doing something unsafe while doing this job.

You’ll need to support the frame. The axle will move some, and you’ll need to horse it around a bit to put it back together.

I’m usually all about rebuilding parts, but I just replaced the arms with Mevotechs I got from Rock Auto. IIRC they were in the $50 range. They looked identical and weighed the same as the originals, and at that price I thought it was a good return on my time.

Here ya go.

Get oem bushings if possible
