Removing Intake Manifold

OK, so I'm just starting my Magnuson S/C install and I'm struggling with the wiring harness at the rear of the intake manifold. Do folks remove the bolts holding the harness to the manifold or undo the clips? If the clips, how to they come apart?

Bolt - those clips are the spawn of Satan

Thanks! And agreed on the spawn of Satan. I'll just keep wrestling with them.

Bolts are pretty easy with a 10mm ratchet wrench.

Clips are honestly very easy as well. There is an unlock tab and then they slide off the mount.

It's pretty easy when you can visualize the release tabs on the harness holders.

Over the years I've seen a number of posts from people talking about difficulty getting the intake manifold off due to some harness retainers on the back of it. I had my manifold off yesterday to replace the foam blocks and figured I'd get some pictures of the issue to help people prepare.

If you are taking the manifold off in the first place I'm assuming you have some base level of mechanical ability, and really most of it is not difficult at all, so I'll leave the basics out. This is just for the annoying clips.

Thanks all! I won - combination of bolts for one and tabs for the other two. And the supercharger install is moving forward again (slow build - father/son project).
