Hello All,

I did search but did not quite find what I was looking for. I am tying to remove or customize the front mud flaps so the tires do not rub.

The front mud flaps have four - 3 mm allen screws and one additional Philips head screw at the bottom that holds everything together. Removing the aliens is easy, but the Philips head screw just turns and does not loosen.

Any insight would be very much appreciated. Thanks all. Need more coffee.

I figured it out. I used a trim puller for that bottom plug and was able to remove it easily. I think the coffee had just kicked in.
I will leave the mud flaps off for now but I did re-inall all the 3mm Allen head screws. I plan to modify the mud flaps by trimming them where needed and reinstalling them. Not sure if I need to do the rears. Will suss that out on Friday.

Those plastic screw fasteners are some of my least favorite. The screw part seldom wants to unscrew, so removal is often by prying and can be destructive to the fastener. I don't get why Toyota uses so many different styles of plastic fasteners.

For future searchers, those are Torx screws, not Allen.

Yup Torx and an off set driver makes the install easy
