where are the pics TJK?

Got dark and my kids were hungry. That and a beer was calling my name. I did drill them out though, worked fine, gave me the creeps drilling holes in this truck though.

I removed the flares the easy way.... Landfill.

Getting some quotes on lining it this morning, will shoot some pics eventually. Will try to include a supermodel in them.

That's one of the best things you could do IMHO. :flipoff2:

Spider Man

I've been covering the holes with Spider Man and other assorted action figure stickers.
Actually this is my kid's project. And when the stickers wear out and fall off the kids can stick a new set on. They like it. I'd rather get the holes welded up...

Well, there won't be any before pictures in that the Rhino Liner guy (who it turns out I fly fished with one time years ago) had an opening in his schedule this morning. After photos tomorrow....

Gumby,

That's a great idea. Do you have more pics? Maybe one of the backside of the flares so we can see how you rivetted the bracket to the flare.

Thanks,

Took me a while to getting around to taking the pics, but here are a couple. Obvioulsy, one could do a much nicer job. My truck gets beat on regularly. I take the flares off every three to four weeks. I have stopped caring about 10' and in. If it looks presentable from a distance, that's OK with me until I stop wheeling it.

I put the clips in place, then drill through the flare and the clip so I know the flare is going to be where I want it. THey are just 16ga. sheet, so I can tweak them a little. I then put in the rivit and paint the head. Pretty hillbilly, I know, but I really like the look of the flare better and they are seriously torn up from trees. Now I just take them off in the parking lot with a 10mm wrench and off I go.

Thanks for the pics. 3 of mine are beat up but I still prefer the flares to the non-flared truck.

I really thought I did too, but have completely changed my mind on the issue. Flares removed and fenders Rhino Lined, I think it looks much better.
