Removing CA emissions / smog on AZ FJ62?

Hey all,

I've been nursing this CA spec FJ62 up hills for years. I do not
need the CA emissions (none where I live), and would LOVE to clean
out my engine bay of the tangled mass - maybe even grab an extra
horse or two...

Any idea what on the vehicle is specific to CA that I can safely
remove? Of course, I know better than to mess with the rest of the
smog stuff on a 62...

Where are you in AZ? WHen you get a chance go check out the AZ section at the bottom of the forums. I'm not to sure but I don't think anything is really CA specific. Az has the exact same smog tests as Cali so be careful whatever you do.

I don't think you're going to see much of a power increase pulling the emissions stuff. In fact, the FI system is configured to work with all of that emissions stuff in place. You start pulling all of that, and you're asking for it, IMO.
