the rear roof speakers, the little guys near the rear hatch, is it possible to remove the grill/cover with the headliner in place? is it one of these things that pops off or is it firmly attached to the headliner and comes with it when the headliner is removed?

(just trying to make sure those speakers are not holding the headliner to the roof in some way... cuz I can tell my stress level is going to be pretty high when I get to remove the headliner and anything between me and the roof is goin' to be in big trouble if it doesn't move out of the way pretty quick... )
thx
Eric

e9999 get ready then. I had to remove my head liner to re-align my sun roof. Talking about a pain in the ass. You have to remove all 8,000 grab handles, sun visors, sunroof/light module, center light, rear light, moulding around the windows, trim on the pillars, and much more to drop that sucka. Had me inventing curse words.

I know, I know...
Do you remember if you had to remove these speakers first (like the roof lights) to remove the liner?

aaah, just did it.

thanks Tuck.

Just lowered the headliner. Contrary to yours, the grilles are apparently stuck to the headliner but not to the speaker in mine. (It's a 97.) So, one can just leave the grilles be as they do not hold the liner up at all. The speakers are screwed to the roof btw and don't prevent the liner to be lowered either. That was good.

Back to it.

let me know how getting all that trim back up properly was. it's all good stuff.
