Am I losing my mind? I keep seeing photos on the net of new *J79 pickups with removable roofs. Are they all custom or did Toyota start with the removable roofs again? The mines will be happy if they did.

They are being manufactured by Toyota Auto Body that way from the factory

From last year's trip to Yoshiwara:

Half height snorkels cool

Nice pics any close up ones ,
I see two Jesus bars on the window frame and some plastic covering the frame , from memory the 75s show metal frame?

Do they actually make a roof and rear cab to bolt on these 79s or are the full time topless

the mines are happy and pissed.
they are happy they are available but pissed since Toyota Canada won't allow them in.

I never understood why Ens was unable to order what they wanted from Toyota for mine purposes. Thousands of split rims in the dumpster while Toyota was putting non split rims on trucks every day.

Here is another?

<edit. Probably a custom job. The cab back is chopped higher than the factory removable tops>

thousands of split rims in the dumpster?
Will they sell them?
Who lives close by! I'll pay a kid to hop the fence!

they are now only 5 bolt pattern, the 6 bolt pattern has not seen a dumpster in 9 years ...

Where were you ten years ago? All five bolt since '98. They finally started getting the correct wheels in about 2007.

actually, the mine is still getting splits with every truck
and
they are still being pitched for scrap.
