they are a serious threat (maybe our biggest), yet they ply us with cheap goods and we happily look the other way.
I‘m as big of a hypocrite as anyone, but am trying to be better about NOT BUYING CHINESE ANYTHING.

I agree but sometimes it can't be avoided.

The binos I am planning on getting are made in Chech republic and apparently they make very high quality glass. We will see but I have high hopes.

Meopta makes great optics. Have their 12x50 binos and a 20-70x spotting scope. Have traded optics with friends who have equivalent Zeiss or Swarovski glass and they all look the same.

12x50 binos on a tripod are pretty sweet, but you can still hold them too. 15x56s need a tripod.
