NEW FOR 2008 All vehicles will be required to have a CB or Ham radio. Preferred setup: installed CB or Ham radio with an external antenna. If you have a Ham radio, we prefer that you also have a CB setup, since some trail leaders will not have Ham. We do not recommend hand-held CB units, but they will meet our minimum requirements if you have a DC cord so that the battery won't go dead halfway through a trail. "Family-band" radios will not be acceptable at all. There is a good CB shop in Moab. If you show up to tech inspection with no CB radio, plan to spend some cash and time at the Moab CB shop.
The Cruise Moab Headquarters will return to Slickrock Campground this year. Register for your campsite now at www.slickrockcampground.com Volunteers are always needed at Cruise Moab, If you'd like to be a Trail Leader, Trail Gunner, or help out in any other way please fill out the following form and send it in with your registration.

Which trails are the ones to hit up with my locked 80. J's in the front and 4" comps in the rear. 305 BFG A/T tires.

Hells Revenge, Fins and Things, Posion Spider Mesa, Cliffhanger, Golden Spike, Goldbar Rim,
Kane Creek is fun but you will get paint scrapes from the brush.
Moab Rim is pretty hairy.......

You could do all the 3's and 3+'s with no issues. If you have sliders, then the 4's are also doable.
If you have never been there are several favorite trails that always sell out
Elephant Hill - an long but fun day with a couple of good hikes through caves and some fun wheeling that a stocker could do.
Fin's and Things - A fun run over the rocks near Moab.
After that, there is Gold Bar Rim, Porcupine Rim, Steele Bender, Wipe-out hill, Metal masher, Spike and more

As in...are there better days, less people, certain vehicles on certain trails each day? Perhaps stupid questions, just curious what protocol is.

Your golden for everything in Moab, its a matter of the guts to try some of the stuff, I still get scared on some stuff but love all the 4 and 4+ trailsDon't care about paint scratches...rig is white...

Elephant Hill only runs Thursday and Saturday. Both days have excellent guides and the run is a long day. Do you want to do a Long day the first day or the last. Some like to relax and visit in the campground on the last night before the long ride home. Make that call on what you want to do and then chose the rest. E Hill fills up fast so I would put whatever day you don't piuck as your second choice run for that day.

Yes. If you've never been you owe it to yourself to experience Maob at least once. Especially with a whole bunch of Toyota nuts.

Hell's Revenge -- 90% of the trail is on slick rock. Its pretty short, even if you stop a lot you can be back in town by 2:30 or 3:00. There are some really nice climbs and decents throughout the trail. All the major obstacles, Hell's Gate, The Hot tubs, The Escalator and Tipover Challenge, are optional. If you want to do them its great but you don't have to to get to the end. A lot of people rate this as their favorite trail.
Golden Spike -- You did the first quarter of it when you went on Poison Spider and the last quarter when you did Gold Bar Rim last year. Its one of the longer trails. After you turn off Poison Spider and drive for about for maybe a quarter mile there is a sign that says that its 8 hours from that point to the end. Has quite a few famous obstacles, Golden Crack, Lanching Pad, Double Whammy, Golden Steps, Golden Ramp, Zuky Hill, and Body Snatcher. Double Whammy is the only one thats optional. Really fun trail.
I've never been to wipeout hill.
Wipe out hill is a fun, fast-paced trip through a sandy section of desert with some great scenery. It has only one real obstacle, Wipe Out Hill, which has two routes down (or up) a very steep incline. One route is down a smooth and very steep incline, the other is over a series of big ledges. Fun trail and it's also close to Gemini Bridges, which can make for a nice day of wheeling, hiking and sightseeing.
