Registering LJ73 in Illinois

My family and I just got stationed in Illinois and we brought my LJ73 from Spain over with us. Has anyone gone through the military to ship their truck back, and is anything extra required to register?

I'm still legal to drive with EU plates it until next week. I'm planning to go to the Secretary of State office this week, but don't want to make a multi day trip

Also what do you guy use to mount your US plate on an EU bracket?

So those of you who are miltiary, the process was pretty simple. still waiting on my permanent registration, but i had to have a copy of the clearance paperwork i recieved from the port of entry, as well as the miltiary/civilian registration and cretificate of title that i received from my overseas station when i shipped it out and insurance.

It also helps i had the original bill of sale when i cought the truck in spain and i can read spanish

but if anyone has any questions about registering in Illinois after importing through the military let me know
