Ok, so the oil drain plug is broke off in the pan. Ill either weld a nut and get it out or put in another Pan I have. Pb blaster'd the blinker switch and the spare tire swing out, got those moving:) washed the shizzz out of the engine bay. More to come hopefully soon!

heat the pan, loctite freeze and release on the plug. worked like a charm on the tin master cylinder plugs on annie

Also disassembled the clutch slave. Going to hone and reassemble. It was seized. I also unseized , well kind of, the trans. I got it to go into 3 and 4. Poured some oil on the shifter to get here loose!! I'm going to pull the dizzy and prime the motor next!!

Got the clutch slave done, ended up cleaning out the air filter housing and oil housing, put zinc and rottella oil in, pulled the dizzy cleaned it and primed the F, Oil came out so I am pumped! But we need a factory carb. it has a rochester so it needs to go! Also looking for a good trans or parts to rebuild! Any help would be appreciated! I want to start driving this around my farm;)

That's a pretty tall order for a 25! I know it will slow you down, but I highly recommend pulling that tranny and transfer and at least cleaning the guts and replacing the bearings. There are several trannies that were rusted pretty well inside that are doing just fine now after that. If you tear it up, you're going to be making pieces. All the bearings except the mainshaft needle bearings are readily available. I did a thread somewhere here long ago. ;)

Johnny, I don't know what it was out of but ill leave it in, so I don't have a hole in the dash. At least for now!:)

Mildred's gas cap and a shout of her bootie! It's got some wrinkles, lol. The rear bumper is coming off as soon as I purchase some new tail lights from S$R.

The rear sill needs full replacement. I did get the tire carrier to move. The tailgate is frozen, so I tried to lube it up, break it loose. I'm just to unsure. I Have a sneaky feeling that it will not have enough meet on the body side to allow it to brake free..

It will break all right.... Break right off sill and all :) if it does it will save you from needing to unscrew it LOL

Love the gas cap.... NICE!

I never thought i would need to say this... But here it goes... Flip the gas cap :)

Can't believe how much that thing looks like my '62 FJ40. If you put my bib on it, the thing would look like mine.

Question: are 25 and early 40 tubs interchangeable? Like, wheel wells, floor pans, etc. ?? Cool project. Good luck.

The rear wheel wells are different between the two. The tub is also higher in the back. It's the same height as the top of the rear crossmember. The FJ40 is lower. 61 FJ40 shared the same rear floor as the FJ25. Then the ribs stamped into the floor and side of the wheel wells were a little different. Front floor changed it's a little higher on the front right side to clear the vacuum shift on the transfer case. All FJ25 were direct shift for both the transmission and transfer case. The lever for the hand brake was also transmission cover. Because of this no levers on or under the dash. I do believe the tub will bolt to either frame. Behind the tub behind the transfer is different between the two it would have to be modified on either to change. The rear drive line is in the middle on the FJ25 and offset on the FJ40. The transfer case in the FJ25 is only 2WD and 4WD. No high/neutral/low like in a FJ40. While it doesn't have a low range the transmission it is a four speed with a 5.41 to 1 first gear. Only third and fourth gears have syncros. The PTO bolts to the side of the transmission and the transmission must be in neutral to operate the PTO. They are a whole lot of other little differences between the two. While the two look a lot alike the FJ25 is a different beast to drive.

Lol, yes the cap I flipped when I drug it home. I'm just loading up pics that I took from right when I got her! I flipped the bird as well! Also scored me a SD-40 that has never been run!

I'll post a pic later of that!

Justin-

Congrats to you, on the awesome find and new addition to the family :)
