I'd start with getting solid recovery points on your truck and work your way out. All this stuff is not any good if you dont have something stout to attach it to...
First, buy Bill Burke's video "Getting Unstuck". Then, when you have watched this video over and over till you can recite it verbatim, go out with people who have some experience in vehicle recovery. Learn how to use the stuff. Even the most simple recovery can turn ugly.
That being said, aside from a winch, I carry:
HEAVY DOUBLE-FACED GLOVES
60" Highlift
Jack Mate
Lift Mate
Pull-Pal
2'x2' 1/2" plywood for jack base
30ft 3" strap
20ft 3" strap
Tree strap
5 3/4" D-shackles
Snatch block
85ft 3/8" synth winch cable extension
10ft 3/8" chain with hooks
20ft 1" kinetic rope
Heavy packing blankets
Shovel
Axe
That should cover most of your recovery needs...lol
Comealongs are good for tying down motorcycles and snowmobiles or perhaps tying down that new fridge you just bought to your friends pick-up. They have no purpose in vehicle recovery.
As for the Tifor and Master-Pull, have you ever tried one? I wouldnt want to be near one if it lets loose. The Hi-Lift is scary enough.
