I've been looking for used and new options for replacing rodent ruined carpet in our 95.

I have been searching and would like to know other's experiences with various flooring products.

I'm also considering using Lizard skin. Any thoughts?

I love Trufit they make a vinyl molded floor, for the 80, the only thing is they'er made in Australia, when I am able to afford them I am getting it I hate carpet

X2 on the trufit. I have it and works great. I would recommend installing it in the summer. It’s a lot easier to work with when it’s warm.

How about some pricing on these options?

For stock interior carpet, the full kit starts at $309. From there, you can upgrade the quality of the carpet to “ultra plush cut pile” and “mass backing” which brings the price up to $598. I highly recommend the upgrades, but if you just want basic quality for a fixer upper flip, go with the base kit.

@voodu3 did you order all these pieces? @Cruzerman it looks like this cart is AUS dollars. Which is $320 ish US$Dollars. Shipping is not calculated automatically and is done through a return email or call.

+1 on stockinteriors.com if you stick with carpet. If you search around the threads there are some folks who have color matched to an 80 ... I did as well, I just forget the exact colors.

If you end up getting the stockinteriors.com carpet, I recommend NOT getting the extra jute, and get some dynamat or similar instead. You'll still need $44 worth of extended mid-row screws from @NLXTACY to hold the second row step plates in place, but it's worth it.

I don’t doubt that this is how Ms. 69lc will opt to go.

Yes I did order all of those pieces. I think there was an import tax and shipping that was the same cost or more than the flooring. I’ll check my files tomorrow and post it up.

I have also been looking at vinyl flooring options. I was quoted $295 AUD for shipping to the US from All Car Carpets. Vinyl kit front and rear, no cargo area is $380 AUD. Converts to $476.50 USD.

Any thoughts on All Car Carpets versus Tru-Fit? All Car Carpets was the only one I found that had an option for putting the heel pad on the left-hand side.

I may have found a stateside source for vinyl interiors: Cap City Interiors. They don't have much of a web presence, but they are local to me in Austin. I emailed them last night and will see what they have to say. Being local, I may be able to check them out in person before buying.

Awesome sauce! Keep us updated, bottombracket! I use my cruiser in the snow and mud a lot, and much prefer vinyl over carpet. Plus my OG carpet is becoming more and more stinky. Even my dog seems to think its gross.

Cap City Interiors cannot make vinyl for 80 series cruisers.

Australia it is….

I just priced out this place and even with upgrading to the sound deadening and waterproofing option it came to $500 USD shipped to my door in Cali which isn't a bad price at all assuming the product is in fact decent!
