I used a father/son team that do mobile work for rebuilding my foams in my old 60, they also added some side vinyl. Nice guys, good work at fair price I thought/ They said they did leather and all that too (was contemplating for my 100. I can pm name and number if interested.

@murf may have a name or two.

Last year there was a group buy for upholstery that fell through but which put me in touch with Ruiz Custom Upholstery. They did my front two seats and did an excellent job for a very good price. They're at 2311 W Van Buren St in Phoenix and their phone number is (602) 258-4399.

Curious how the foam is holding up. I know on the 73-78 FJ40 the high dollar stuff SOR sells is suppose to great. They also have it for the 60/62 series. Did they switch your bottom cushion covers? My driver's side outside vinyl is the only place that has cracked. Think being on the inside of the passenger's seat would be less noticeable any repairs.

I used these guys to redo my 100, good work.

Not sure on how it is holding up, I sold it :( Coincidentally, the seller now is selling it here: 1982 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 LOW MILES

I would guess it will hold up great, they created new seat bottoms from high quality, high density foam. More info here. Another seat thread

They did not need to flip the seats covers as mine were in good shape.

When you wrote added some side vinyl figured it was the outside of the driver's seat which is the most common place the vinyl cracks. Other then that mine are in great shape. looking at that other thread looks like they did a good job on the cushion. My biggest worry without any step getting down breaks down the cushion which ends up cracking the vinyl on the sides.

You can kinda tell by this picture I'm have seat covers on them to protect them from the dogs.
Looking at the ad that is a very nice FJ60, don't know if I could sell it. I never see myself selling the FJ62.

cute dog alert! Yes, the added some side vinyl because the new seat bottoms were thicker/taller and so not enough of original to cover.
Yes that was a wonderful 60, but alas, could not afford such a nice toy!
Back to our regular program....

I used Nick Humrick in Chandler to swap out my driver's seat bottom foam on my Tundra. Very reasonable and there were no visible signs of the seat being messed with afterwards.
