I really love my hundy soo much that I started looking for excuses to spend money on her. I found a TRD super charger on craigslist so I had to put her on (even though power wasn't too bad stock):

Today we are in the middle of installing at my shop, still need a few more parts (it took an extra week to get a second refurb starter delivered, first one was missing plastic piece):

Instead of ordering the normal Unichip Piggyback ECU, I called Gadget and ordered the Map3 ECU w/Wifi connectivity so I can have the Apple App to tune on the fly. I am debating whether to install an IPAD to control both the music and the display diagnostic info.

I have the EMS Catback with silencer installed:

I also ordered a set of HIDs and Bull Bar/Skid Plate. I will post pictures once everything has been installed later this week.

Upgrades left to do: Tint, EMS headers and Jaos rear skid bar possibly. :meh:

I was actually waiting for this thread. Do upload videos especially of before and after sc / mods with 0-60 timing. Thanks and good luck.

I'd be interested in your use of the iPhone/iPad app to tune it on the fly. I did read that you wouldnt be able to do it until their iPad app was released due to it being easier to use due it being larger in terms of screen real estate.

Edit: map ecu home page http://www.mapecu.co.nz/ and there's a forum in there too.

My only problem is figuring how to mount the IPAD inside the vehicle without being overly intrusive. How easy is it to break in a LX470? I live in Chicago and there are alot of thieves.

There is s company that makes a center panel to fit iPad instead of nav panel

Lx does not come with sophisticated security system so if that's the case then stay away

no problemo! it's a two part system as you have probably already read. There's the mount kit, then you can buy any number of holders. (iPhone, iPad, Samsung etc)

Make sure you buy the right holder. I bought an iPad2 holder and then bought the retina iPad3 when it came out which was thinner and doesn't fit the iPad2 holder !!! doh!

So today we are finishing up the install and we call Gadget and he suggests not even to bother connecting the solenoid in the back here. I recognize he knows what he is doing but just curious. My mechanic says if we dont need this he doesn't need to put the 3.25" silicone hose coupler connector.

We are having two issues left with putting this together:
1.) Below super charger pulley is not lined up perfectly with ac compressor. Should we move pulley out to line it up perfectly with AC compressor? It starts slipping currently since the SC is a bit more inward.

2.) Having issues with getting the MAP3ECU programmed. Hiring someone to come out to program it.

Good job on the find. I wish these were still available.

Does the supercharger pulley have shim options to move it in and out?

So after weeks of tinkering we figured out that Gadget miswired the ECU harness from URD. We shipped it back to him and he sent it back wired properly (loaded with the Tundra 4.7 SC map as well).

Right now the last problem I am having is that we have tried 10 different pulleys and all of them seem to be slightly off. Anyone have any insight on this? When we give full throttle the pully comes loose a bit off the tensioner.

Just wondering when Toyota engineered the 100 series they built the engine/drivetrain to handle a certain amount of power plus or minus some percent. What does everyone think the SC will do to the long/short term durability of the 100? Very cool build look forward to hearing about the performance increase.
