Recall and driveability (1 Viewer)

My 2012 460 just began flashing the 4 Lo and CEO light. My mechanic said it scanned as the air injection pump which is covered by a recall. My Lexus dealer is about 150 miles away. Anyone know if there's potential for damage driving in this condition ?

No concern for damage... if vehicle was in limp mode the reduction in vehicle performance could create it's own driving hazard

Do you have AAA or roadside coverage through your insurance? Might be worth exploring if so and you're too worried about driving it.

Just a note, if you have/get AAA roadside coverage, don't skimp out on the cheap package that has free towing of your vehicle for 7 miles. That's not very far, especially if you're mechanic/dealer is a lot further. We learned the hard way and have had the premium service ever since.

Yeah... I maintain Premier since they will also send a separate truck to haul any of my trailers as well... 200 miles on that plan
