OKhow do I do it. Can't figure it out.

Edit: figured it out.

OK here it is for the 2nd stage and the last one, incorporates a roof/carrier, swing out awning on A frames, and fold out table.

Started to make fenders tonight and made a rack for the top a few days ago. Thoughts?

The frame will be covered with diamond plate, two 50 cal ammo bucks will be mounted to the front angles (laying flat against the angle) for storage, and clearance lights on theo utside edge.

I may go SOA since only have 5" between axle and frame and left 5.5"s between fender top and tires. I have never bottomed out so I will have to see how things work.

no comments? That bad? Will plan to rivet the diamond plate up tonight. Will post when when that step is done.

Cut out and mounted the diamonnd plate. used rain gutter (paintable) sealer for the joints and have silver metal paint to cover up the seams when it cures.

After that, I need to grind/shave down the diamond plate along the sides so it is flush to the frame. Don't want anyone to cut themselves.

After this, a deck for the front and gas can mounts.

Wow, don't know how I missed your buildup.

Whats the purpose of the hoopity rack way up top? Just awning attachment, or do you figure on hauling stuff up there?

Can we get a pic w/tailgate open?

Have you figured out your H2O yet? Tried any marine vendors?

Look forward to watching your build (so I can steal ideas! ) Good job!

I don't know if I would call it a hoopity rack, but it is for the awning and super light gear, but also a place to put my hot water shower box while in camp (just one of those solar ones that are black and gravity fed). I doubt if I will always put stuff on the rack, but if and when I need more storage or hauling space, this will work. Besides, I need a place to toss fire wood as I am going along trails without getting it mixed in with the gear or in my 40. The whole point of the trailer was to make it an all encompassing camping trailer that leaves my cruiser open for people and my dog. I hate being cramped inside and have to take everything out just to get to a small item buried someplace in the back. I want everything to be easy access in the trailer so multiple storage areas will work with my primary camping gear inside in two large bins.

I decided to go SOA (need to relocate the pintlel ring a bit lower so I sit level) and will be doing that and did some more work over the last few days. I will post pics this weekend.

The rear door just swings out. I do need to make the rear area water proof so I need to weld in a few strips to keep water from blowing in the back. I think one of the first pictures shows that open. I do need to replace the roof supports from 2X4s to 1" square stock.

My gas can mounts should be showing up in the mail any day now so I will have to work those into it and need to bolt down the ammo cans I put on the fenders and modify a larger ammo can in front of the spare to hold a battery and switches for lighting, so that means wiring and mounting the marker lights and spot lights for night. I have a few other ideas, but I am working those out as I go along. Finally I will paint the body desert beige as that will be the color of my 4.

I have done more to it this week and will psot pics s soon as I can. I need to figure out where I am mounting my gas cans and propane tank, wire the lights, and I piked up pneof those red dial battery isolators form a swap meet that I need to install for the trailer's battery.

Oh and I need to install shocks now that it is SOA. (no pics of that)
