Has anyone tried this? trying to plan out swap for when mine gives way. At 296k she is still running strong but Im thinking about turbo and I believe that would drive the nail in the coffin.
This seems awful cheap for a fully rebuilt engine from other prices I have seen. Listed on website with the following service, "Fully rebuilt, 1FZFE New pistons, rings, bearings, oil pump, Gaskets, Seals, Head remanufactured." I could be wrong but shopping around I think I would be hard pressed to get the parts for the price of this package. Anyone done this? Any feed back? List price on the website is $4500, with core. Link below.

Buy one and see. Then report back. Be a trailblazer.
Definitely considering it, I have had nothing but great experiences with them in the past. Now just need to do some creative accounting to squirrel away $4500.

Yeah, I only go there if I have to. My experience has been blah. I don't think I'd go to them for a rebuilt engine.

Personally, I would not go this route. As I have said before, miles don't mean anything it's about compression #s. I have seen high mileage ones with great #s and low mileage ones with poor #s. But people get wrapped up too much around "miles".

Do a compression test of your engine, if they are strong, slap on the turbo. If mediocre/poor, find a good used with good #s. Replace the seals while it's out and slap it in. At least that is what I would do if it were my budget.

Or get one from Jason @arcteryx and rebuild it with a turbo. Hmmm....

This outfit struggled with handling a used sunroof plastic trim piece transaction. Have a ball.

They sent me a manual regulator for my 6o series in record time; however, it was for the wrong side of the truck and was in worse shape than the original one I was attempting to replace. Wanted me to pay return shipping too. Just my experience but what do I know?
