This is almost embarrassing to post....

So in the catalogs they don't even list a rear wiper blade for the 200. I replaced the front two with michelin which i've really liked. They work excellent. They did squeak for the first few days in use, but now are excellent.

I was going to swap out the rear wiper blade with a michelin but the book doesn't list one... same for all the other brands in the parts store. I know that thing is small.

Whatever you decide to do, DON'T use RainX wiper blades. The are known to scratch windshields.

On the Michelin web site they list the 9512 blade for the rear. Find it here on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Michelin-9512-Windshield-Wiper-Blade/dp/B00COE3Z8E

Thanks gaijin, i was actually in walmart yesterday looking at all the replacement blades and the catalog they provide doesn't list anything for the rear. Actually, the catalog didn't list a single blade that fit the rear.

Now i just have to see how to get that thing un-hooked.

You have to pop off the shroud on the wiper blade - then it can be removed. Had that head scratcher last year....

It would be great to have someone do a short YouTube video showing how to do this. I haven’t replaced mine because I just can’t figure it out.

i will see what i can do. Hopefully i won't get frustrated and break the wiper arm.

I just bought a replacement blade for the rear. Noticed my rear has been streaking pretty badly, plus, the Sears next to my office is going out of business. So I picked up a windex brand wiper on the cheap (~$7). To earlier points, any ideas on removal/ reassembly of the factory wiper unit?

yea, once i saw the little lid piece that unclips, it was a breeze.

Replaced the wiper without a problem. Thanks for the links and videos @Chocolate

There was a *small* amount of user error involved when I noticed considerably more streaking and noise from the replacement blade.

Good post, been meaning to replace the rubber blade on mine rear for sometime.

Anyone able to compare the quality of the Michelin vs Toyota OEM? How about pricing at Toyota dealerships? I'm going to assume the Lexus dealership is going to jack up the price...

I have really liked the michelin blades. I have them up front and out back now and they perform great

As Malleus posted, you can replace only the rubber insert on the factory rear blade if you want. The process of installing the insert is pretty simple. Most dealers carry the inserts, and sell them for about $7 - $10.

Walmart doesn't list the Michelin rear blade PNs because Walmart doesn't carry the Michelin Plastic Rear Blade product line. They only carry some of the front blade lines from Michelin ( they carry the Beam blade in some stores, the Hybrid and Conventional style blades in most stores). As someone else posted, you can buy the Michelin Plastic Rears via Amazon, E-bay, and elsewhere.

I tried replacing just the rubber insert on cars years back. It always seemed to me that I needed three hands and it took forever. So I haven't tried to replace them in years. Instead, I just pony up the extra bucks for the whole blade, and replace the assembly in less than a minute.

Are the inserts on the 200 blades easier to replace? Or do you still need three hands to hold the aluminum stiffeners in the rubber insert while guiding into the blade?

I just replaced all three wiper blades. I had no directions. It is really, really simple to do. Took maybe 8 minutes for all 3 start to finish:

1) Just squeeze the end that is shaped like an arrow (or end of a fishhook) and slide the wiper out that way.
2) Remove the two metal pieces (they will have a natural curve to them that follows the shape of the windshield)
3) Reinsert the two metal pieces into the new rubber insert (again, its very self explanatory which way to do it)
4) slide the blade with metal inserts back in place.

I bought them here, worked perfect:

Just saw a video on how to replace the rear wiper insert although not the J200 but the same wiper arm; not intuitive but it did the trick really easily.

https://youtu.be/6RyEQq_vsK4

Feeling silly at how easy it was but only after I saw the vid and didn't break the wiper in half!

Me too! Once I flipped up the little plastic latch I was embarrassed
