My 2004 has 254000 miles on it. I've replaced most everything that's worn underneath it with the exception of the rear upper and lower CA's. I bought Trail Tailor front and rear links, which are incredible, and want they're CA's but they seem to be sold out all of the time. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks

I replaced all 5 links in the rear and believe me only one bushing I believe an upper had a few rips. I wanted to just get new control arms due to 238K miles, and that was the only reason I did it.
 
Following to see how your experience with MetalTech goes. I haven’t heard a thing back from them from my order a week and half ago.
 
Installed some Trail-Tailors upper and lowers a few weeks ago. I bought them way back last year. Maybe almost a year ago. It's one of those incremental suspension improvements.

It feels tighter than it did with the old arms. I'm lifted over 3+ inches in the rear. I had the rear pinion angle alignment checked by a 4x4 shop that deals a lot in adjustable arms with Johnny Joints. Turns out my driveway alignment was close. They just need to touch it up a bit. No vibrations. Very smooth at medium to high speed on the highway. I don't want to admit how fast I've driven it. I need to put some paint on the jam nuts to see whether they move any between wheeling trips. I understand the responsibility that comes with JJs and jam nuts.

I ordered some poly replacement bushings for the Panhard bar. They are on backorder and may take 6 weeks to get. The bushings are ok.. But would like to freshen them up before they get too dried out. I have the Panhard now sitting basically at the same angle as the stock suspension before the lift. I can fly over whoops and ditches without the rear feeling shifty.

I’m replacing the control arms on the 99 factory locked axle I am swapping into my tuck. BUT MetalTech May end up losing a customer if I don’t hear anything real quick. I gotta all this stuff done before the end July to make the trip Colorado!
 
Metaltech just an ounced a price increase (due to rising costs) effective 4/27. I’m sure they are busy because of that... so you’d better hurry!
 
SPC makes rear upper and lower CA’s

Mevotec makes replacement uppers and lowers- the bushings look pretty good. Most of their “Supreme” grade components come with Ltd lifetime warranty too


As for TT or MT in addition to adjustability- the Johnny joint ends do provide better articulation.

Just a heads up don't go with the SPC lowers if you are looking for added strength. Other than that their rubber bushings are nice though.
 
I have what I think are SPC lowers from (Bought from Slee) and they have been hit a few times and held fine. They werent labeled SPC but I don't think Slee made them, who knows. They aren't the beefiest on the market but price was right and I'm not sure what I would ever do to bend them. One arm weighs about 1.5x what the stock arm weighs for reference. The adjustables listed here are probably stronger, but adjustables come with their own stuff too.

For uppers I used the Febest fixed, stock equivalent replacements and have been happy with them so far. They really tightened the rear suspension up over railroad tracks and again the price could not be beat. Good welds and nice bushings, 15 min to swap out. The uppers are not at risk of damage unless you are sending it off jumps.

I went with rear lower SPC and Febest upper. A year on and I've been very happy. Only thing left is the panhard bushing in the rear.

I guess it depends on how and where you wheel. I bent the SPCs first time out just like I bend oem control arms nearly every time I got out. So that's why I put them in the same strength category.

the spc is significantly stronger than the stock links and made with 3/16” wall DOM tube, but you could just sleeve them if you're bending them.

I just ordered a pair of lower SPCs to go with OEM uppers after getting a bit of rear steer with the stock links still back there. probably put the stock ones in the trailer as spares.

That is the most epic short trip ever taken by the #cruiserdreamteam. Not as horrible as the #snowzarks but going from “Oh no, Lee is going to have to replace and engine” to draining half a gallon water from the engine and wheeling the next day was absolutely epic!
 
I'm going with the landtank fixed lowers (oem bushings). They are super stout. Didn't see the point in having adjustable lowers. I am also ordering Ironman adjustable uppers. These allow adjustment on the vehicle as well. Super beef and they come loaded with rubber bushings. No squeaks or maintenance with either arm, it will be nice to have the option to adjust the uppers and I'll be able to use the lowers like sliders! I think this is a pretty ideal setup for our rigs.

seeing the price of the mevo's on rockauto and your feedback which is usually quite good I'm thinking i want to go with these. Would be realllllll nice if someone knew of an aftermarket supplier for these where OEM toyota's show up in the box. wishful thinking i guess.

Ive not used these Mevotec uppers or lowers, but have used their (TTX series) upper control arms for my Ram pick up. The bushes quality looked very good.

Look, on a daily driver, for the money, backed up with their warranty I’d have no issue giving those Supreme series rear arms a try.
