I had the rear ujoint (at the pumpkin) replaced 2 yrs ago, now it's sending bad vibes and the mechanic that installed it said I didn't lube it enough and now it's gone bad again. Does this make sense?

To make things more confusing the dealer told the shop that it was inconclusive whether or not there was a grease nipple on it, yet they said it was supposed to be a factory sealed ujoint.

Does anyone know? What do you think about it going bad in 2 yrs? I don't do a lot of offroading at all and I'm not hard on my rig. Are they that tempermental that one must grease at every oil change?

Thoughts?

Also, does anyone have the part # for this? It's a 99 LX.

Not sealed, should have grease nipple to be greased every 5,000 miles. In extreme use they should be greased after each use.

The dealer said the oem ones are now coming as sealed units (non-greasable) according to their parts manual.

Do you know what brand of joint your mechanic used? In general I have heard there are some low quality u-joints out there that are easier to find than the good ones... reminds me of shopping for front wheel bearings this weekend.
