I lifted my '04 GX with Dobinsons 2" lift. Installed panhard correction kit and new, adjustable panhard bar (set to factory length), new lower adjustable control arms (set to factory length), and new sway bar links (adjusted to set the sway bar parallel to the ground).
The issue I'm having is the lower ball joint on my sway bar links turn toward the rear of the vehicle (see pics). I've loosened the nuts, straightened them to the neutral position, and retightened them with the vehicle on the ground. The links go back to this position after a few days of driving. SuperPro sent me a replacement set after the rubber boot was destroyed on the driver's side, so this is the second set in less than one year.

Has anyone seen this before? Rear wheels are pretty much centered.

I have the OCD rear adjustable sway bar end links and they stay put without twisting to the rear.

Not sure why your superpros are twisting. Maybe stock oem rear sway bar is pushing forward too much and turning the sway bar end links. Check rear sway bar bushings and mounting brackets are tight.

My setup is a little different at 2.5” rear lift. Nolathane HD rear sway bar, eimKeith PCK, stock oem panhard bar, LT ICON 56550 shocks, LT Dobinson 701Vs, and the OCD rear sway bar end links. And no front sway bar. And no issue with the rear end links.

I asked ChatGPT this question and it replied the "the sway bar is rotated backward a little bit. Loosening and 're-centering' it will fix the rearward lean you’re seeing on both sway bar links".

I'll be crawling under it this morning to try this. I ordered the Nolathane HD rear sway bar, but it won't be here until Friday.

Don't worry about it. It's not going to harm anything. Trere is a reason they are ball joint to be able to take the miss alignment. Trying to control that is a losing battle.

Maybe its the angle of the photos but it looks like the links are being bent back towards the axle. If that's the case, it explains why those ball joints are rotated the way they are.

It's only the lower joint that is twisted towards the rear of the vehicle (both sides). I loosened the brackets underneath, reset the links so the lower joint was straight, then tightened everything back down. I have a long drive tomorrow, so I'll check them again at the end of it.

Which hole do you have the Nolathan SB set to? I'm running them front and rear with roughly 1" rear lift. Set to farthest forward hole in front and rear. I just installed to what looked like the easiest hole to connect to.

I don’t have front sway bars.

Rear Nolathane sway bar in the middle hole. I’m lifted 2” to 2.5” depending on weight (fully loaded for a trip versus half loaded when not in a trip).

The links are just moving from movement of the suspension and bar relative to the frame where the links are attached to. That appears to be their happy position. Unless they're binding (making some big noises when articulated or over big droop or compression) then there's nothing to worry about. Mine do the same thing. You've got two free moving joints with less friction/relocating force than an upper polyurethane bushing setup.

My boots are also destroyed. I need to see if they'll warranty them.

I wouldn't worry about it either. If you install them with the rear suspension loaded (tires on the ground or jack stands under the rear axle) and the they line up, you're good. I'm not sure if it makes any difference, but I aligned my sway bar with the lower control arms instead of the ground. I am running the same super pro links, but with a nolathane rear bar and I also had the boots rip in under a year. They were replaced by super pro and so far so good this time around.

I found the lower jam nut on both links was working themselves free. Once I tightened them, and added blue loctite, the problem stopped occurring. I have the new sway bar and will install it in the next few weeks. Superpro warranties their links for 3 years.
