Wanted Rear signal Housing ‘67 FJ45 (2) Bulb

Me & the rest of the TLC world ...right ?
My current one on the drivers side bleeds power back through when the brakes are applied and sets off the left turn signal. Never had that problem before this latest build...?????
Any advice is appreciated.

That housing looks ok. Clean it up and maybe need new lamp sockets.

Silly question maybe but have you tried a new bulb??

No such thing as a silly question friend, no we didn’t try that, but we will now !

We tried 4 different bulbs, the wires are shorting against one another inside the fixture....

If you push on the wire , no bulb in place, there is an insert that can come out. Seems like an easy fix.
