Rear Seatbelts

I installed retractable shoulder belts in my 84 bj 60 . It's not overly hard. I went a little further and welded a reinforcement plate around the area I had to cut open for the FJ62. The upper hole was there and threaded already.

There were supposed to be seat belts in the back of 40's?
Mine had the early style long bench seats but no lap belts, maybe the PO removed them.

I remember the muscle cars from the mid 60's didn't have reare seat belts so that 66 of yours probably came from the factory without them.
