Too far from the shoreline, in beautiful WTF Flori
I usually keep the rear seat forward and the back open for gear.
Last night, I used the truck to take my granddaughter to swim lessons.
My daughter was coming along, so I put up the rear seat and down the bottom.

Now the damned thing is stuck and I can't pull it forward:mad::mad:

Anyone else ever had this happen?
I'm almost certain that one of the belts of something is probably jammed in the latch:frown:

Thanks,

OD

If you can't reach the strap to release the seat bottom, try to unbolt the 4 bolts that hold
the front of the seat bottom hinges and then pull it up that way. I'm thinking 12 mm socket.

If you still have the strap...

Find the strap (middle, back crack), that attaches to the latch that holds the rear bottom down. Pull. Sometimes that latch can be a PITA if it's old and crusty.

I have the strap and can get my hands on it, but I can't get the seat to release. It's never been a problem before, and I do put it up and down enough to make sure it doesn't get crudded up.

I know that at least one of the seatbelts are under the seat bottom, which is why I think I've managed to jam something up in the latch:( That's what I get for being in a hurry.

I'll be breaking out the :wrench: in the morning.

Thanks for the info gents:beer:

This happened to me once and I kinda remember having a fat-azz buddy bounce on the seat as I pulled the rig-cord and that did the trick ...

x2, sometimes the latch needs to be pushed down in order to get clearance to open.

Sit on the seat as you pull the strap

keep tension on the strap as you get off the seat

the seat bottom will probably come up.
