Rear PS door courtesy light and rear dome light do work?

working on everything again now. the right rear door switch operates the lights fine for all rear lighting except the right rear door lights. the lights are good as they go on when grounded, so it's the ground from the rr door to wherever it meets up with the rr switch wiring. the rr door switch appears to go back to the tailgate first, then i'd guess back to the door, but i'm not sure. breaking out the schematics now. trying to avoid disassembling the interior to fix this.

found my issue. i was not happy when i found unprotected wire crimps with tape on my 74 harness, but toyota apparently thinks they're the bees knees, cause my 95 has the same thing. at the b pillar, where the wire goes into the harness at the floor (where my rig has had water) was the connection. all fixed now, lights are working good

I stumbled across this thread today, and happy to report the problem is fix. I had 2 open points close to the factory crimp locations: 1 at the B pillar, the other as you have noted. I used solder and heat shrink and now fully functional second row interior and PS rear door courtesy lights operating again.
